Do you want to: Use all the strengths that come with Asperger's or an ASD? and Figure out how to manage those things that are tough? but You don't want to change the special things that make you who you are.
That's what Coach for Asperger's is all about!
Asperger's is a different way of living in the world, with strengths and advantages, as well as challenges. I
offer face to face, telephone and webcam video coaching for adults and
teens with Asperger's. Get more information, plus useful articles on my
blog: Coach For Aspergers.
Make
the most of Asperger's gifts, things like being passionate and focused
on your interests, hardworking, straightforward and independent, loyal
and honest. Manage the issues you may struggle with, like organization,
executive functioning, socializing, interpersonal relationships, and the dull, practical
details of daily life.
Are you sick of doing great work that your boss doesn't notice?
Are you frustrated about finding and keeping friends?
Are you happy with the way you are, but tired of how others expect you to behave?
If
you're an adult who's been diagnosed with Asperger's Disorder or
autism, it's understandable that you may get frustrated. Adults on the
autistic spectrum offer the world their unique talents, and they have
unique needs. Sometimes the world tells you one set of rules, but then
seems to run by another. The professional world is unpredictable and it
can be hard to get the recognition you deserve. And socially, it's hard
to meet others you have things in common with.
I
may be able to
help. I'm a licensed therapist as well as a member of the International
Association of Coaching, and I've spent years counseling people.
I'm also an engineer with over a decade of experience in the high tech
world. I know what it's like to deal with a demanding boss, a
frustrating schedule, and all types of coworkers.
I won't tell
you how to do your job, and I won't give you lots of vague,
psychological theories. I will help you figure out how to get what you
deserve in the world, while still being yourself.
I offer face to face coaching and therapy, as well as telephone and webcam coaching. I have offices
in San Ramon and Danville, California. I have flexible hours, including
evenings and weekends. Please call Patricia Robinson, MFT at (925) 915-0924 or
email me at patricia@patriciarobinsonmft.com.
