Looking for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT, is the most well researched method of psychotherapy. It's especially effective for short term, goal oriented work, as well as for individuals who want a practical approach.
Many clients on the Autism Spectrum find CBT to be a good technique, whether used in addition to medication or as a stand-alone treatment. I focus my work on cognitive techniques such as CBT, while using other types of therapy, such a Family Systems Therapy or Gottman Couples Counseling when appropriate.
